Medicare Part A

Medicare Part A is your Hospital Insurance. It’s responsible for helping with coverage related to inpatient care in hospitals, skilled nursing facility care, hospice care, and home health care.


Who’s Eligible For Medicare Part A

Medicare is health insurance for people 65 or older. You’re first eligible to sign up for Medicare 3 months before you turn 65. You may be eligible to get Medicare earlier if you have a disability, End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), or ALS (also called Lou Gehrig’s disease).

What Are My Cost For Medicare Part A?

Most will pay $ 0 for Medicare Part A 


If you or your spouse worked and paid taxes for 40 quarters, 10 years, then your Medicare Part A has NO monthly premium. You would also qualify for Part A with NO monthly premium if you are collecting Social Security Disability and have been for 24 continues monthly or you have End Stage Renal Disease.

If you do not qualify for $ 0 Medicare Part A, you might be able to buy it. The monthly premium for Medicare Part A would be either $ 278 or $ 506 a month in 2023. In this scenario you would also be required to purchase Medicare Part B with a monthly premium of 164.90 as well.
